Accommodation
The Main House
The main house has a large open-plan kitchen/ dining room, where light floods through the windows and skylights and onto the bespoke, fluted oak cabinetry. Sliding doors, allowing indoor-outdoor living, lead through to a vaulted drawing room, which has two seating areas either side of a centralised double-sided log burner, wall-to-wall library joinery, and a Bechstein piano. The master bedroom has a four-poster bed and a log burner, a walk-in dressing room and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. There are two further bedrooms in the main house - one king and one double - each with access to their own bathrooms. A separate walk-in larder and a utility room replete with a dog shower for sandy paws ensures a comfortable stay.
The Annex
The annex has a further two bedrooms, a shower room and its own small kitchen and sitting room, and so Bodney Beach House works particularly well for two families who would each like a little of their own space! The charming bunk-bed room is a hit with children, though sturdy and stylish enough to accommodate adults too. The terrace looks out over Holkham fields, perfectly placed to admire the famous North Norfolk sunsets.
The Lookout
The Lookout platform provides the perfect outdoor seating area, with views out over the saltmarshes to the sea, shaded by a cherry tree. An inbuilt fire pit has a bespoke grill fitted and can be used for barbequing on long summer evenings as the sun is setting.
Bedrooms
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has a four-poster bed dressed with Soane Britain curtains, and a log-burner encased in beautiful herringbone limestone tiling. It leads into a large dressing room, with a luxuriously fitted en-suite bathroom where there is a large egg-shaped bath, a separate shower and two basins.
The Shell Bedroom
The Shell Bedroom is named after the Fermoie fabric which adorns the headboard of its king-sized bed. The bedroom has a large, en-suite shower room.
The Red Room
The charming Red Room has a double bed and is opposite the family bathroom.
The Annex King Room
One of the bedrooms in the annex has a king-sized bed, fitted wardrobes, and lovely sunset views onto the terrace. It shares a shower room with the Bunk-Bed room.
The Bunk-Bed Room
The Bunk-Bed room is the perfect holiday bedroom for children, and can actually sleep up to three people if the trundle bed underneath is also used. It's also supremely comfortable and sturdy enough for adult use.
Holkham and the North Norfolk Coast
Holkham beach is one of the country's most unspoilt stretches of sand, and the jewel of the North Norfolk Coast. The unique landscape is a haven for nature, with low tide offering miles and miles of sand, sea and sky, and with the pinewoods offering shade on hot, summer days. The area is abundant with local fresh fish restaurants and pubs, and local attractions such as the delightful village of Burnham Market and the magnificent Holkham Hall, which also hosts events for families throughout half-terms and holidays.
